Good Morning - Why is you not at work ?

I was checking out the plumbing at home the other, it's a sealed system Combi. Was trying to understand the logic of the feed and return pipes to and from the rads. I followed the hot water feed from the combi and each one went to the right side of the Rad where either a TRV is situated or a heate control valve. Anyway I thought yes hot water in and not so hot coming out of the return valve end. Well I understood this untill one of the radiators was piped up the opisite way round. Feedpipe was connected to the return valve end / return pipe to control end. Derrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Is this right - what's the reason behind it ?

Always appreciate everyone's help

It doesn'really matter which pipe is flow or return most of the time - providing you have one of each!

Many thermostatic valves are bi-directional, so can be fitted on either flow or return, ease of pipe runs, accessibility and aesthetics being the main considerations.

Excellent stuff - thanks for putting my mind at rest - starting to get a bit obsessed with plumbing - don't know whats up with me.
Er maybe it could be something to do with my wife taking away all my spare time at the weekend. LOL
