Roof access via carport

Hi All

I am fitting eaves felt trays and need to access the roof above the carport. The carport roof is polycarbonate. Can I use some 18mm OSB as a crawler board or do I need something stronger.

The carport is around 5m long with 3 struts across so a crawler board would only have 2 struts to support it at any one time ( as well as some support from the poly roof).

I would rather not remove the polycarbonate.

Why would you want to take such a risk to fit felt support trays.

I was hoping it wasn't risky. I probably won't do it as don't want to end up worse off if it all goes wrong and I end up needing a new carport (and car as I would most likely forget to move it).

I have now asked for some quotes for new felt and trays for the bottom bit of roof.
