Is this unusual?

I may have answered my own question as I haven't noticed it on my travels.

This is a ground floor lean-to. The roof membrane is visible below the tiles - is this supposed to be the case?

The guttering sits at least 2 inch below the tile edge - which is also unusual in my very limited (diy) experience.

Anyone with a better understanding able to comment?

Not a roofer but afaik this is normal?
The slates finish and the under membrane continues so as to direct the water into the gutter.
The gutter requires timber as a fixing and isn't normally rammed up against the slates

The membrane can be trimmed back, as there is an eaves support tray there ensuring water leaves the roof.

The gutter does look a bit low, but I'd guess it's doing the job OK, so no changes required.
