Hi,

have a leak been coming in for a few months, nothing obvious in the roof valley but possibly tracking under the lead at the overlap 1/3 of the way down.
Have been advised the valley doesnt go far enough under the tiles and the lead valley is too narrow.

Advise was to replace the valley by cutting the tiles down each side of the valley thus widening and replacing with grp valley.

does this sound reasonable? i havent heard of cutting the roof tiles to widen a valley before.

Many thanks
Truman

Valley can be as narrow as it needs, Lead should be dressed over a fillet hwere its goes under the tiles and/or welted. Strip the valley and re lead it or GRP valley.

Could be incorrect lap , lead to narrow etc etc a picture will give us a better idea as to workmanship quality....
