Roofing dust in loft

Hi all, In 2009, we had all our roof tiles replaced due to natural wear and tear in our circa 1935s built home. As well as the roof tiles, we had the underlay changed too. We did have items in the loft at the time and therefore had some dirt and dust come into boxes (I am guessing this was dirt and dust that got in between the tiles over the years and sat in between the tiles and the underlay). I hoovered most I could during the time and cleaned up (as you would).

Now, many many years later, I have found some of this still lying around in boxes and in areas that weren't accessible. Having read about asbestos in roof tiles (I don't even know if it had any, as I wasn't aware at the time), I am now worried about cleaning and sweeping these up. I need to get rid of quite a lot of these boxes with items stored in them, so I don't know if I have my tin foil hat on and am worried over nothing or should I be worried about this? Thoughts please?

I don't know what to make of it tbh.
If you had concrete or state tiles then I'm not aware of any asbestos and trades should really flag asbestos especially in 2009.
To answer.
You can test the dust to put your mind at ease, but you would be the first I've heard of having asbestos.
Testing is affordable and very good now. Contact a company for advice

Just wear a decent mask when you're sweeping/hoovering up, which would be wise in anycase. In reality the dangers posed by asbestos in houses to occupants is tiny, generally people who suffer from asbestosis have worked in a related industry and have been breathing it for years.

Thanks for the reply. I think they are slate tiles. Definetely ones that break like clay when dropped. I dont have a pictures but a neighbouring property that looks identical to mine still has their original roof tiles and this is what they are like if it helps. Not the clearest picture as from street view.

Thanks for your reply. Yes I'd do that as a matter of course. Just wasnt sure if it was an alarming amount in them. I think they may have been slate tiles but not sure, given they are now gone.

Its probably only a small amount and most of it is black dust that's tucked into boxes through gaps in the openings
