Roofing quote advice

Hi guys,

After some advice if possible.

Photos below show the issues as identified by the building company giving the quote (2 pics of internal wall from me showing issues). Water staining is visible on the bedroom ceiling, specifically along the junction between the ceiling and the wall as well as mould development. A quote has given us the below issues and a possible cost of £1450. Does this sound reasonable?

Quote is to;

- 3 walls re-render with sand and cement
- new sand and cement fillit on one side of chimney
- Replace lead where needed

Whats a possible cost

and a possible cost of £1450.

- is it a written quote with exactly what they are planning to do
how did you find the roofers, recommendation, done work previously , or from a website like trust a trader or check a trade
are you getting more quotes
whats the payment terms

what 3 walls are they rendering - i paid £1300 (had a few quotes - but difficult here as builders quote and you never see them again ) for a small 6ft high right angle part of a wall both sides of wall - and about 2m away from each corner

are they using any scaffolding ???

where abouts in the country are you

and to be honest if someone on here said it should be £300 having not physical seen the job / location - what would that mean ???

you really need more quotes from other recommended roofers, in your area
and have a read here , where people have had work done and then more work needed and Nothing in writing to say what they are going to do anyway
you need the quote in writing outlining the work to be done really

Found on 'MyBuilder.com with lots of very good reviews in a greater london borough'.

12sq mtrs only 3 sides done
