Room Thermostat to Vokera compact 28

Hi, The plumber is coming to change my boiler next week which has failed, I was looking to fit a room thermostat to the new one which is a vokera compact 28 ( product code 808 )
Would just a standard stat do, was looking for a digital one if possible but my main question is how do you connect it at the boiler end?
I presume a 3 core cable will run between stat & boiler but is that all there is to it?
Im a spark to trade but not really familiar with central heating stats.
Hopefully this is in the correct forum not sure if it should be in electrics, if so pls move.

I'm sure it'll be simple
Get the installation manual from te Vok site and have a look. As you will know, it should be "fixed wiring"
