Rubber seal leaking on toilet pan connector

Just wanted to thank everyone for the advice I was given, diynot.com is my favourite forum!

I was a bit worried to make a mess cutting off the pipe to remove the original solvent welded pan connector but that was the right thing to do. Ended up using a flexi pan connector to address the offset as there was not much space behind the toilet. All ended well!

Thanks Ant1 for this thread. Over a year later this helped me solve a related issue with a 3.5" soil pipe solvent welded to a 110mm pan connector. In my case the rubber seal had gone hard. I sourced a replacement seal from a nearby Wolseley branch Just removed the old one and fitted the new one. Problem solved.
