Is it possible to run a soil pipe over an extension(sloped roof). want to move batroom to back of house, there is no existing soil pipe but there is a drain in the garden.
You need to find a way of supporting it (IE attaching it to a wall) so if you can do this then in theory this should be OK. A few pictures of the proposed installation site would do wonders for our ability to advise you...
Thanks for reply. I can support pipe to wall above extension and on the wall of extension. The roof is slate. Will try to put photo on tomorrow.
Is there any laws regulations about this I can read
cheers Steve
Gives you the links to the building regs downloads. (When its working....) The work is also notifiable to building control at your local council, the Building Control officer (BCO) is likely to want to inspect the work as its done.
it can also ( physically ) be run over a roof - by fixing blocks which are covered with lead sheet weathered in to the slates. But aesthetically and bureaucratically ( Local BCO) it might not be so good
