I had new radiators and a boiler installed about 5 years ago, but now they all seem to be going rusty. It looks like most are going rusty where the valves go in. This means they are leaking also.

What’s the best way to sort this out? Or will I need new rads?

Do you mean they are rusting on the outside? if this is where the valve enters the radiator then they could have been leaking for some time, this would lead to the rusting, you may be able repair by removing the valves and refitting with new PTFE tape, but it depends on the amount of corrosion present. The other cause could be De-zincification of the valves themselves meaning the zinc in the brass is being eaten away through electrolytic action.

Contact the installer would be a first, unless you had it installed on the quiet by a mate, then I suggest you let the whole system carry on rotting. You will have no comeback if this is the case. Any inhibitor added? doesn`t sound like.
