hi guys, bit of a stupid question really. Been to see a toilet which was an s trap pan with low level cistern and flush pipe. needs changing.
Can you get a close coupled s trap pan or not?
Also it discharges into a pottery pipe with sand/cement mix, if i get an ordinary close coupled toilet with a 90 deg or ? pan connector, will the pan connector fit inside the pottery pipe?
The reason im a bit concerned was a few years ago i took an s pan toilet out and put a normal close coupled toilet in, but when flushing, the water kept on backing up. I cant quite remember if it was the toilet or the fact the drain was partially blocked.
Any help is grateful.

?#1 is a NO! (last I heard anyway)
You'll need a 90 but may still struggle with the spacing from the wall.
Exhaust efficiency depends on slopes etc.
