This takes me back to what i was saying last week, "The Human Race" is not an endangered spieces, so please think about the wild life the next time you see starving children on the tv, we cant continue breeding at the rate we are now doing, the worlds resorces wont cope, dont exasperate the situation for your children and grandchildren. Charity starts at home.
Surely we can't dictate to these countries who want to deforestate and improve their lives with the resulting revenue.
The uk was once covered in forest and the wild life killed off when deforestation took place.
Of course now were an over populated, bankrupt country unable to sustain ourselves then maybe we are a prime example of how this practise of dozing the forest is probably a real bad idea.

Pred makes a good point. By sending food aid to countries that are obviously over populated for what the land can support, aren't we just worsening the situation. Ever since I can remember, large areas of Africa have been unable to sustain the population without outside help. Sending vast quantities of food obviously isn't working. Growing African populations also devestate the local flora and fauna.
The really worrying statistic is, that in my short time on this earth, the world population has doubled. In just over 40 years time, can we cope with another doubling to 14 billion?

It's a very very tough love that's needed.
But we won't need to send them food if they chop down the forests and make way for farming.
Basically if the forest stays then the human population needs culling.
If its dozed then economic prosperity and growth for the people. I'd put my money on the latter happening quicker.
They can put the last remaining animals in zoos or let them go extinct.

All in all, there's too much sha*ging going on in the world. One would have thought that being the naked ape that we are, we would have worked out some way of curtailing the need for rumpy pumpy and its obvious by-product
I cannot make my mind up whether to be sorry or not for all the children being born to refugee Africans because they will not use berth control or stop copulating or rape. One woman in that situation said she wanted 6 children all of which had to be fed from world food donations.
I do not like supporting irresponsible people and I get some sweet looking girl from Oxfam calling for donations to put an innocent face on it.

The sad thing is once the rain forest is cleared it makes for very poor arable land as within 2 to 3 years it becomes arid and desert like.
