I am having problems with the salus rt500rf.
After setting up as per the manual the heating continually comes on through the night, even though it is set to shut down
at 10 pm. The receiver has the red and green lights on.
Settings are ]1] 7.30 am to 19 deg.[ 2] 9.30 am to 14deg [3] 3.30 pm to 19 deg [4] 9.30 pm to 14 deg [5[ 9.30 pm to 14 deg
The heating comes on approximately 3 am. This is not required to be on at that time.

Anny help would be appreciated.

The thermostat communicates with the receiver wirelessly and tells it when to switch 'on' and 'off'. It sounds like the two are not communicating. There is a simple test you can do. Turn the thermostat setting up high enough for it to be 'calling for heat' and you should see in the bottom left hand corner of the display a small icon resembling a flickering flame. When this icon is visible, the receiver should be switched 'on' meaning its green light is lit.

Then, lower the temperature setting on the thermostat so that it drops below the actual room temperature. The flickering flame should disappear and after a few seconds the receiver should switch off and the green light go out.

If this doesn't happen, you can try re-pairing them. See the thread here

Unfortunately the Salus rt500rf is not the most robust thermostat but it was cheap and cheerful, however, if you can't get them talking, then the old adage that you get what you pay for may appear to be true.
