Would an F-Type Satellite Socket make the signal worse than using a cable from Satellite Dish to my Sky Plus Box?

I currently have 14 meters of cable going from my Satellite Dish to my Sky Box and currently receive a good signal.

I would like to put the cabling from my Satellite Dish into trunking then into a F-Type Satellite Socket; then run a separate cable from the F-Type Satellite Socket to my Sky Plus Box.

I would like to do this to make things tidier and to stop wires trailing all over the floor. Also 14 meters of cable from Dish to Box isn’t long enough, so using a separate lead from the F-Type Satellite Socket to the Sky Plus Box, would extend my cabling more!

So are F-Type Satellite Sockets any good?

Thanks in advance.

As above. If you buy the wrong ones they can cause serious problems - I'm referring to the American UHF TV sockets that are imported and laughingly sold as "satellite" sockets because they happen to have the same threaded 'F' connectors. Here's an example:
