Hello there, wondering if anyone could just offer me some advice.

We have a fairly old Saunier Duval combi boiler - I estimate about 10 years old. We recently bought the flat, so can't be more exact than that.

Recently we had the boiler serviced, and it seems that previous services by British Gas weren't very good at keeping the boiler clean. The person who did our service spent a long time cleaning the boiler, and told me at the end that the pilot flame would burn orange for a few days due to the dust in the boiler - otherwise, there was nothing to worry about. This was three weeks ago, and the flame is still burning orange near the top. Is this something I be concerned about and get the engineer back to check it again, or am I worrying over nothing? Apologies if this is a somewhat naive question...

Seems your engineer that had the tooth brush out has not cleaned out the pilot.

OR

Its over/under gased

OR

The injector had been abused whilst cleaning.
