Hi,

i've just posted in the building section regarding tanking if any of you would care to help, it would be appreciated.

Besides that query i would also like to know if you all use forced action mixers to mix SBR renders/screeds? I think most, if not all, of the manufacturers say this is how it should be mixed. Everbuild certainly does.

So do you?

Thanks for your help

Hi. Forced action mixers such as a 'pan' mixer or screed /render pump are certainly better but not essential. For screed a gravity mixer needs careful handling ss the semi dry screed will go into little balls if in there too long, which is not long at all.

The spec is to make sure aggregates are mixed and additives are mixed thoroughly. THIS CAN be done in traditional way ie shovel or 'normal' mixer with care. How much do you need to do?

Hi Micilin, thanks for replying,

How much? The screed - only about 3m2 at 50-60mm deep.

The render - about 30m2 at about 20-25mm deep on average (stone walls)

Thanks again
