hi need some advice please! was fitting a shower door today and accidently scratched a porcelain tile, its left a grey looking mark on the tile is there any way this can be removed (scratch dosnt appear to be deep just surface). thank you.

It's not actually a scratch. What you've done is use the shower door like a pencil and scribbled on it. It's a film of metal left behind. They can be a pain to remove though. Try Cif or something to start with.

haha might try that as last resort! its about 30mm in lentgh and 3mm in thickness on white porcelain, think it is the alluminium from the frame that has marked the tile.

thanks joe-90 will try that. was thinking of getting a china rubber but wasnt sure if it would make things worse?

If it's like Joe says a scuff from the frame a china rubber may not work, tried it on a sink before marked by the tap turning.Used a little bit of limescale remover and a scotch brite pad.Belive it or not it removed the scuff and left no tell tale signs.

thanks for the advice guy's tried cif and it worked a treat completly removed the mark.thanks again. :D
