Scratched Tile

After fixing a number of tiles to the wall I've noticed that one of them has a number of relatively light scratches on its surface. They can only really be seen at the right angle but I find it very annoying. The tiles are ceramic. My question is, what could I use to polish out these scratches? I gently tried a mildly abrasive metal polish without success.

Any ideas appreciated.

i'm sorry to say that you will have to live with the scratches or replace the tile in question. as it is a ceramic tile it is the glaze that is scratched and there is nothing that will cover the scratches.
