What length screws should I use to fix a plasterboard ceiling onto beams please?

38mm, 42mm normally for 12.5mm plasterboard. Put plenty in though, about 7 or 8 inches apart. See if you can get a lend/hire of a screw gun, it'll make things a lot easier.
