Had the ceilings and walls reskimmed and painted. Need to put the smoke alarms back up. I seem to have lost the screws that were holding them up before.

You can often find small packs of screws and plasterboard fixings in poundshops etc

Yeah. I said I had lost the screws that came with them and wasn't sure if I needed specific plaster screws or if standard small screws would be ok.

Yea a screw made of plaster would just disintegrate when you screwed it.
