I have a smoke alarm linked to the alarm system because of the spiral staircase being in the lounge, it was position in the centre of the ceiling but has to move it because a new ceiling light is now there. Can I or will the smoke alarm still work on vertical postion if I locate it on the stairwell opening wall? The smoke alarm is called System Sensor Model 2412E
