Sealing around copper pipes

Hi what can be used to seal around copper pipes that come up through a kitchen worktop to stop water getting through and blowing the worktop. I can't realy use silicone as it corrodes copper.

People have been using silicone around shower copper pipes for yrs and never been an issue.

If you're bothered about corrosion paint the pipe first.
Silicone would only be corrosive until it has gone off.
As said though - not a problem.
