I now have some nice new tiles on the wall in my new kitchen extension and the grey grout in the splashback area is already getting marked by fat spashes.

What can I use to seal the grouting?

I wondered if something like silicone spray would do the job or even Thompsons water proofer for brickwork?.

I've had good results with natural stone impregnator, the stuff you apply to travertine. Ask at your local tile shop.

You may also want to check out Lithofin Grout Protector. Really does work...kind of like a scotchguard for grout type thing. Natural stone sealers often make it waterproof ..but stainproof...not so often.

You should be able to get it at any GOOD tile retailer :)
