Hi guys

Beech block worktop. Been oiling it with raw linseed oil.

Lots of posts about how long this takes to dry but I find it is sucked into the wood so fast it is dry within 12 hours and water is no longer beading on it after a couple of days.

Have done about 5 coats now. Getting bored so want to put some Danish oil on (which I've had good results with on bookshelves elsewhere).

Question: will the solvents in the Danish oil rot or otherwise compromise the rubber(-ish) seal round the sink and hob?
Thanks
