secondary return connect to shower

The tank is directly below the shower. System plumbed by G3 , and he is coming back end Jan to plumb a new bathroom with walk in shower. Not sure what a secondary circuit it? has not been plumbed with one, is it necessary if bathrooms and kitchens are all within 6 m of tank
JD 250 L HW tank has a tapping as standard, which I dont need as bathroomsand kitchen close to tank paul
You can use the secondry return tapping as a shower take off, however there is little point in doing so on an unvented cylinder.
If you had a vented cylinder it make perfect sense, no different to fitting an Essex Flange.

The governing fact will depend on the cold mains being able to deliver.
For a good shower tee off close to the cylinder, and use the connection on the combination valve for a balanced cold.
No, the secondary circuit is not necessarily wanted but it save water, and the time the outlets are open, thereby giving more hot water to the other outlets.
To supply all at once needs a big pipe, and not your average 22mm stuff.

The whole point of a secondary return usually is because in Hospitals, large homes etc they want it on demand, because no combi has been built big enough it inevitably has to be stored Hot water, because of the distance between the nearest sink/ hand basin and the furthest, ( could be miles) a link was set up to provide a loop with constant running hot water so when you open the tap at the furthest point, due to the secondary return loop it was the same as opening a tap anywhere.
In other words if you were at the end of the building you won`t have to wait for the pipes to expel all the cold water lying there before you got your hot water
