My son's stop tap under the kitchen sink won't budge. I'm going to try some leverage on it to see if this will turn it.

If this doesn't work, is it OK to use a blow lamp on it (presumably on the gland area), or is this not advisable? Any other methods would be appreciated.

Thanks

go steady with leverage and go back and forth it might just go

and support the pipe or it might just go

heat feel free tou might have to repack the gland if you cook it tho (easy)

best way is renew it

$50 consultation fee please

Slaken the packing gland off and fill it with wd40, leave for 10 mins and turn the handle.

Might be an idea to make sure the streetvalve is not stuck as well.
Just in case.
Wd40 may loosen it up, but it makes a horrid cuppa.
If the streetvalve works, just replace the stopcock, they are only a few quid.
