Hi all,
First post here and have a question, well more of a problem really.
I wanted to level up the wonky concrete floor in my garage so thought self leveling compound was the way to go.
I primed the slab with 1:4 thinned SBR and put down 2 layers of Mapei 3240 (primed between coats)
All good so far, not perfect but not too rough for a garage.
Only now that i'm looking at floor paint do I realize I've cocked up and SLC isn't a finished surface and I can't just paint it!

Anything I can do to make SLC a bit more hard wearing?
I've seen products claiming to harden concrete floors but don't know if these can be overpainted?

As that is a moisture tolerant compound you can’t put a liquid Dpm over it. I’d prob go with a grit primer like Mapei Eco Grip plus

Cheers Daz, i'll give that a go. As its for non absorbent surfaces should I SBR it again first?

Never been a fan of SBR on flooring screeding as it’s designed for plaster and every floor company training courses I’ve been on , Uzin , Fball , ardex , Bostik all say always use their primer. So that’s what I’ve done.
I’d just go with the primer. Do a test area 1st.
