I want to use up some spare bags of "pourable non shrink cementitious" grout (eg Masterflow 765 and Weber High Flow construction grout) instead of self levelling compound to finish an area about 3.5 x 1m.
The new layer will be 5-25mm thick, on top of a screed that's had the top broken off.
This grout is normally used under steel baseplates etc. It seems to have remarkably good levelling properties, sticks like a shovel and dries rock hard.
Any reasons not to?

Well no it doesn't say it on the bag.
But surely you don't believe that everything thats in different packaging is a different product do you?
I know it's a bit of a gamble, but it really seems remarkably similar. And I don't really expect anyone to have the yes or no answer, but it maybe that some other diyer has tried it before and found it's the business.
I guess I'll be the guinea pig. I'll let you know how it goes (if I remember to...)
