I have a Servis M4306 dishwasher that functions bar heating the water, at which point in the cycle [both washing and drying] the timer sticks-obviously because it knows the water hasn't heated. I've checked the element for continuity, which it has.
I see that on top of the heater housing is a thermostat with a red button - a trip switch I assume. I have tried pressing it back down??? to reset, but I get no continuity there, it has four terminals and I assume the circuit is through the block as opposed to side to side???!! if that's comprehensible?
An advice/assistance most welcome, since all told the machine is in good nick and to date other than this mishap , reliable.
Many thanks in anticipation
