Hi all,
I have a sewer vent pipe venting into my garage, this is the only vent in the system. Can I use a one way vent cap to stop smells entering the garage or does the air need to flow both ways. I know I should run it through the roof but a one way valve will take seconds to install.

Thanks
Jonathan

No, a sewer system needs to breathe - that means in needs to be able to release positive pressure as well as negative. An AAV (durgo) only lets air in releasing negative pressure.
