Hi there, hoping for some advice on tap parts.
Bought a shires bathroom suite last summer but only fitted it at Christmas.

The hot tap recently started turning round and clicking without turning the water on or off.
There is a short (visible) silver tube connecting the tap head to the spindle, I'm assuming it'd be called a spline adapter? It has split where it connects to the splindle and no longer engages the spindle splines properly.
Went down to shires in Belfast and found they have the receivers in! I think they've been bought out though so will continue trading.
They've changed the design so that the spindle extends right up to the tap handle, no adapter! With their current difficulties they've no idea when or if they'll be able to get this part.
Do any of you know anywhere I could try to get this? is this a common part that may be available in a standard size for other taps?
