Only have room for very short door catches , what’s the smallest readily available ?

I have an idea I've seen an inch and a half. You need a lever handle or you will catch your fingers. It had a square metal case (not a tubular latch)

you can get a very short bale catch.

What door is it on?

And I've seen a very narrow style sashlock (not the one in the picture, but a similar idea) with a black case, probably an old Legge design, like you might use in French windows.

this is an Enfield 30mm, it doesn't look quite like the one I am thinking of

or it could be Willenhall, Imperial, or Zoo, who all make copies of old designs.

It’s internal door so lock not required. Two thirds glazed so rail is knee height and too low for handles.Pair of rebated doors so need rebate set for it.
