Would it be reasonable to say that replies received on here can be used as a guide to measuring the competency of a tradesman or builder?

Yes, yes and yes to all the questions, but you need to keep in mind that the MK I eyeball looking at a job, wipes the floor with descriptions of issues and photos alongside a question.

Many disagreements do break out in this mode, simply because someone asking a question, has omitted essential information from his/her question.

Thanks for your reply Harry. What does MK mean?

I learned SKATE.

Skills, Knowledge, Attitude, Training, Experience.

This is a solid measure for competency and under pins "you get what you pay for!".

I just find it all on google and post it here, so don't blame me if any skyscrapers or sheds fall down. :cautious:

I've also taken my garden shredder indoors due to rain and shredding my artex asbestos ceiling with it.
Of course I keep all windows closed.
But I'm wearing a mask, so that's ok...
Great advice here...

The thing is, its all opinion not advice. Take it or leave it.
Some replies are opinion such as answers to "is copper better than plastic" and some are more opinions
