HI, The instructions on a new triton shower say to use a compression joint . Is that a regular copper one as the inlet is hard plastic?

I would use copper fittings myself, you can find that the plastic fittings are a little bulky and offer space restrictions.

no insert required on the shower spigot.

i dont know what these guys are talking about :s
