Hi, I've bought myself a 10.5kw Electric shower and have been looking for a double pole switch to isolate it but cannot seem to find anything above a 45A dp switch anywhere?

By my calculations, I need something just slightly more powerful than this or will this be sufficient?

Many thnaks.

Ahhh yes, that's the other thing, I forgot to mention, the wiring lends itself to a double pole switch rather than a pull switch....

The size of the dual pole isolator is but one of the issues to consider.
Are you fitting this from new or are you replacing a shower already in situ?
If its new then, while you can do it yourself, you will need to notify your Local Authority Building Control before you start and pay their fee.
You will also need to calculate the cable size taking into account its length and route amongst other things.
You will need to calculate the size of the MCB and ensure that the circuit is addtionally protected by an RCD.
If you are replacing an existing shower the calculations outlined above will still apply.
