I am wondering if I need to install a power pump to the shower enclosure I am installing (it is 1 of those with 8 different body sprays etc), or can I install it by taking the cold feed from the mains supply ( which is very powerfull, probably 3 bar+)& mixing it with the supply from hot water cylinder? Any contributions would be very appreciated.

No you will either need an unvented cylinder installed or a really good dual shower pump and possibly an additional cold storage tank, or a really good combi or the money you spent on the fancy shower you might aswell have sat over the fire dropping £50 notes into it.

Cheers Paul, I suspected I'd need to get a pump.I bought the shower enclosure (because it looked the business) b4 really investigating what was required re. instillation. The job has spouted arms & legs & is far more complicated than I first thought.By the way. not being plumbing speak savvy, what is an 'unvented' cylinder?

The power of search is yours for free.

Hope not coming across as rude but unvented is done to death.

If you really cant find the answer, I'm sure some kind soul will tell you in this thread though.
