Shower light fitting problem

Hi we have this light above our shower cubicle. Unfortunately it has stopped working as we thought the bulb just needed replaced. In the past we have just unscrewed the glass cover from the plastic/metal base, which has now started to rust and the glass lid will not turn at all as if it is jammed. Any ideas please how we can unscrew the glass lid as we've tried everything? Many thanks.

Think it's past it's best, you need to replace with an IP65 rated downlight, tool station/screw fix sell them.

Should be able to pull this fitting out, there will be spring clips holding it in... watch your fingers... think mousetrap!
