Shower plumbing

I have a problem in the shower piping the plumber used 15 mm from the water supply then from the floor of the bathroom to the cut of valve is 10 mm copper pipe but the pipe attached to the shower is 15mm again any reason why he changed from 15 to 10 and back again?

If 10mm pipe has been used to supply a shower the person who did it is clueless.
 
Probably because it was easier for him to manipulate and fit though as terry mentions above, he's clueless and shouldn't be called a plumber

No logical reason to do that and possibly going to cause a "pulsing" effect on the shower whwn in use.

Maybe he was running out of pipe and used whatever bits he could find.
