Shower pressure with new mixer bar and pump

Hi all,
I'm just about finished doing up my bathroom and have fitted a new wall mounted shower bar and a pump under the bath.

Pump = Stuart Turner Showermate 1.5 bar Twin Pump
Shower = Kludi Zenta (http://www.kludi.com/uk/remprodukt.php?lang=uk)

Now, the shower requires 1 bar upwards to work but the pressure I'm getting is not what I would expect from a 1.5 bar pump.

I've checked all the filters which seem fine and it's not drawing any air in.

Are there any tests I can do to find out if it's working properly - it may be that I just want a higher pressured pump. I'm getting an ok amount of water but the pressure is just weak.

Yes, making all the right noises as soon as I turn the shower on - doesn't seem as if any air is drawn in. (I checked this by putting my thumb over the vent pipe and also but turning the shower onto cold only (which doesn't have a vent pipe).

I'm starting to wonder if a 1.5 bar pump is as powerful as I thought - maybe there is nothing wrong with the setup, just my preference is to have more power.

Are there any standard/average values for litres per minute of bath taps/showers that I could measure? My cold water tank is in the loft and the bathroom is the floor below (9ft ceilings).
