Shower pump starts then stops - Stuart Turner Showermate

My shower pump has stopped working today. It starts very briefly then cuts out. This actuallly only happens when you hold the shower head low down in the bath. When it is in it's cradle the pump does'nt start at all.

Can anyone help?

No its been OK for the 2 years we've been here.

check any filters in the flexi pipes on the pump.
