I am about to have part of a downstairs utility room converted to a shower/cloakroom and need some advice on wiring for an extractor. Given that this space only has some wall sockets ( house recently re-wired) I am at a loss how to supply electrics for the light/shower/extractor without removing the cieling to expose and run cable from an existing ceiling light. Can anyone advise what my options would be. Is it possible to take what i need from the existing socket circuit.

If there is no access to the lighting circuit, then using a SFCU to supply a fan and light is permissable. Add a three pole isolator for the fan.

You are going to have to remove ALL of the sockets from this room. Also you will need to provide equipotential bonding per regs.

Also please note that this is notifiable work. etc blah blah...

edit: why doesnt the forum keep the other poster's profile (including location) when you are posting.
Just noticed you are not in Part P terriitory. Dunno what the McSpark requirements are..
