shower stopped working

the water in the shower is released when power flows to the solenoid. My guess is the solenoid valve has failed or the trip / mcb for the shower has flipped. I take it we are talking Electric shower.
How are you deeming the on off switch still works. Because it has mains power or just the fact it switches.

Test the coil for resistance should give a reading of 3.4 kohms or above.
Test with power to shower off.
Also check 230v is getting to coil, with power on to shower.
Your symptoms are pointing to a failed coil.
You can change the coil only.
