I have 2 stud walls made of 18mm wbp ply for the new shower. It has been suggested to me that I coat the bottom edge/back of these stud walls with cementone SBR before fitting to the tray - I was planning to lay these bottom edges on a bead of silicone (between the tray and the ply). will the cementone sbr improve adhesion of the ply to the silicone, or should I be using something else like a coat of varnish/pva etc. to seal the ply?
thanks
andrew

HI

can use marine ply underneath the tray.sand/cement mix between tray and ply then silicone around tray edges.
