shower tiling

Hi,

I had our bathroom done a year or so ago and sectioned off the bottom end of the bathroom to create a shower area.

It is under part of our sloping roof so the sloping part and ceiling part of the shower weren't tiled, just painted with bathroom paint. The ceiling is only 7th from the shower tray and gets pretty mouldy. Is it possible to tile this area as the guy at the time said we should never tile the sloping and ceiling areas..

Is that right?

Whoever said you shouldn't tile the sloping wall and ceiling area of your bathroom most probably didn't want to or was unable to.As long as the surface is sound,no flaky paint etc,then there is no problem.
