Shower trap woes...

Hi there,

I am in the process of installing a new shower. The tray is of the stone resin type and is fixed in place. I have bought a typhoon vortex waste and all was ok until I realised that the tail of the chrome waste insert isn't long enough - booger! The external diameter of the insert tail is about 46mm. Does anyone know where I can get an insert with a longer tail? I have been looking around, but I can only seem to find ones with tails 1.5" in diameter such as this one

Hi. A slightly confusing question ! The waste that you have posted the link to has a 2 1/2" tail.
You can get them with longer tails, up to about 3 1/2". Watch out for the size of the flange though as they can go up to about 86mm as oppose to 73 (ish) for normal shower.
