I have a new RAK Feeling Shower Tray which I will be fitting in the coming weeks.

The bathroom is on the ground floor with a concrete floor which been re-laid and I can confirm is perfectly flat.

The instructions that came with the shower tray are lacking however there is a large sticker on the tray stating it should be mounted with polyurethane / acetic silicone and that beton / epoxy resin should not be used.

Is acetic silicone the same stuff as acetoxy silicone, i.e. a standard sanitary sealant like Dow 785+ would be appropriate? I assume will probably want a couple of tubes to stick the shower tray down and seal around the edges where it will be pushed up to the wall?

Yes - it's the silicone that smells like vinegar (acetic acid) when it's curing as against a neutral cure silicone that doesn't, the difference as it's applicable to this would probably be the faster curing times.

Yes, DC785 Acetoxy will do the job. Personally I would use a silicone adhesive (Sticks like $hit/OB1/CT1, etc) rather than a sealant to lock the tray down and then the sealant to run around all the tray edges that sit against the wall, then along the top edge before the wall covering, then seal again once the wall covering is on.
