Hi,

we've removed our shower tray ready for a new shower. You can see the old waste (with a sock in it), the plumber told us we need to get a Mira Flight tray but we want a tray that is lower to the floor.

Can we use a lower tray?

Thank you in advance.

Depending on how far down that waste goes then possibly. The Mira flight tray is only 40mm to start with though, as long as you don't use risers?

You could also tap into that other waste pipe that's below floor level depending on what it's servicing.

Thanks for your reply.

The other waste was servicing the bath, that we have now removed and won't be replacing. If we do that, does it mean we can go for a normal shower tray with a waste that is in the middle rather that at the corner of the tray?

Thanks again.

All depends on where the tray's going to go and how the pipe runs in relation to the tray's waste. If you can place it in such a way that the tray's trap outlet can pick up that waste pipe then yes, entirely feasible.
