Hello

I'm trying to fix a loose shower head holder that won't take the weight of the shower head any more.
There is no screw to tighten so I assume I have to take it off the rail to fix it. The problem is that I can't unscrew the brackets holding the pole to the wall. Where there should be screws there is something solid. Can anyone give me some advice?

Thank you

Using a thin bladed screwdriver, You should be able to lever off the cover at some point of the bracket (top or bottom, whichever is more convenient) and unscrew, allowing the holder to slide off and be tightened or replaced.

So there's no hidden screw under a cover on the side where the shower is held?

Thank you for replying.

The cover is definitely attached to the wall fixing so there is no way of levering it off. From looking at instructions for similar ones online, that little hole should be a screw, but it's just flat. I wonder if the installers filled it with something.

What are we looking at in pics 2 and 3? I can see a hole cut out with a chrome bevel going inwards, then there's a black circle inside that. What is that?

You might not need to take the riser bar off to replace the shower holder, see:

Those pictures are the top of the top bracket cover and the bottom of the bottom one. According to some instructions I found online, that's where the screw holding the cover on the bracket should be.

We had the same question not long ago... the black round thing that you can see in your 3rd picture needs to be pushed in, and then the chrome bracket will pull away.

Thank you. I had tried that. I just tried again using a bit more strength but the bracket still won't move.
