I'm adding ensuite to bedroom in semi-detached house and wondered which is best way to route waste pipes from shower and toilet...layout is basically..
Shower - 1m gap - toilet/adjacent sink.. They all back onto back wall of house so was going to go straight out and then run pipes externaly across to soil stack.
What's best configuration internally though...I was thinking 40mm shower waste to sink and then both 40mm and soil pipe out, or could I go into soil pipe with 40mm internally and just have soil pipe external? The external distance to the soil stack is approx 5 m.

The sink can drop into the top of the soil pipe, not the side or underside. Doubt you'll have the height to do the same with the shower so fire that through the wall & link to soil stack externally. Check the approved docs- you may have to go up to 50mm for that run length (can't remember tbh)

Sounds good, I will check distance, thanks for the reply
