Side Mirror Repair

My side mirror glass has come unstuck and I need to glue it back on.

I tried a hot gluegun yesterday as it normally sticks anything like **** to a blanket but no joy.

What have you tried and will recommend please?

Use the double sided sticky strips from motor factors mate - the kind thats used to stick number plates on with.
